Volunteer Luncheon
During April, National Volunteer Month, the Diocese of Savannah showed appreciation to the 50+ volunteers who serve in a variety of ministries at the Catholic Pastoral Center.
A luncheon for the volunteers in the chapel at Villa Marie Center at Isle of Hope followed Mass at Our Lady of Good Hope Chapel, which was celebrated by Bishop J. Kevin Boland.
Volunteers serve at the center by preparing mailings for the Bishop’s Annual Appeal; preserving records in the Diocesan Archives; producing the Bishop’s Annual Appeal video; photographing events for the Southern Cross and the Diocese websites; working with the Catholic Cemetery Preservation Society; and serving on a variety of boards and commissions.
